Terms of Service
Terms of Service
Waypoint Ledger is a free website that turns a description of a long search for a diagnosis into an itemized ledger, priced from published federal fee schedules. These terms are the rules for using it.
Last updated 20 October 2026.
1. Who runs it
Waypoint Ledger is run by Precision Delivery Federal LLC, doing business as Precision Federal, of Ames, Iowa (“we”, “us”). You can reach us through Contact.
2. Agreeing to these terms
You can read and use this site without an account. By using it you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. Before you connect your Medicare records, we ask you to agree to both again by ticking a box that is never ticked for you.
3. The Privacy Policy comes first
Everything we collect, keep, publish and delete is described in the Privacy Policy. Nothing in these terms takes away, narrows or overrides any protection it gives you. If anything here ever seems to conflict with it, the Privacy Policy is the one that applies.
4. What the figures are, and what they are not
Every dollar figure on this site is a published federal figure for a unit of care, with the file and row it came from. It is not a bill, not a claim, not a quote and not a promise of what you or anyone else will pay. Waypoint Ledger does not give medical, legal, insurance or financial advice. For decisions about your care or your coverage, talk with your clinician, your plan or Medicare.
5. Connecting your Medicare records
Connecting is optional. If you choose to, you sign in at Medicare and approve access there. With your permission we read your Medicare claims once, keep only the service codes, dates and claim types this site needs, and match them in your browser. We do not ask Medicare for your name, and we do not store anything from Medicare on our servers. The key that lets us read your claims is held for at most one hour, and pressing “Disconnect from Medicare” ends it at once. The Privacy Policy describes this in full.
6. What you send us
Corrections, gap reports, survey answers and written interviews are kept and published only as the Privacy Policy describes, field by field. The open data on this site, including those published counts and rows, is released under CC0 1.0. Please keep names and other identifying details out of anything you type, and send only information you have the right to share, about yourself or about someone who has agreed.
7. Fair use
Do not try to break, overload or get around the site’s protections, send automated floods of submissions, read data you were not given, or use the site to harm or mislead anyone. We may block requests that do these things.
8. Your account
An account is optional. You are responsible for keeping your passkey, password and recovery code safe. You can delete your account at any time from your account page, and deleting it erases what the Privacy Policy says it erases.
9. Open source
The code is released under the Apache License 2.0 and can be run by anyone (Run this yourself). These terms cover this site, waypointledger.org. A copy someone else runs is theirs, under their own terms.
10. No warranty, and limits on liability
We work to keep every figure traceable and correct, and we publish the corrections people send. Even so, the site is provided as it is and as available, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the site or relying on a figure. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have that the law does not let us limit.
11. Changes to these terms
When these terms change, we change the date at the top of this page and show a notice on the site before the change takes effect, saying what changed. A change never reduces what the Privacy Policy promises. If you do not agree to a change, you can stop using the site, disconnect from Medicare and delete your account.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa and applicable federal law.
